Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Germantown Station. The Germantown station is based on a standardized plan the B&O established for rural towns and stop points around Baltimore and Washington DC. It was built in 1891, on the Metropolitan line between Brunswick MD and Washington DC. The distinctive characteristic of this station is the track side dormer bearing the year of its construction. It is still in use today as a commuter stop to Washington.
